Demonstration for Freedom, Human Rights, and a Democratic Future for Iran For nearly 47 years, Iran has suffered under the Islamic Republic. For nearly 47 years, the Iranian people have resisted repression, terror, incitement, injustice, and the destruction of freedom, dignity, and the rule of law. We believe in a different Iran: a country founded on human rights, democracy, liberal values, the rule of law, national dignity, and peaceful relations with the world. A free Iran would not only benefit the Iranian people, but would also help restore stability in the Middle East and create new opportunities for peace, security, and cooperation for Europe, America, and the wider free world. We call on the international community to continue supporting the people of Iran with clarity and determination. Every step that strengthens freedom, human rights, and the legitimate aspiration of the Iranian people for a secular and democratic state is a step toward peace and stability.
